Abstract

The article presents a case of stroke in a 24-year old male patient due to the misuse of amphetamine. The patient had a left hemisphere stroke. Thin layer chromatography revealed amphetamine abuse by the patient. Amphetamine misuse is rare but solid reason for intracranial hemorrhage in young adults. In the purview of unreliability of clinical history, urinary chromatography could be a valuable tool in the diagnosis of the disease.
