Abstract

The article features the city of Coventry, England. The town originated the legend of Lady Godiva, the naked lady on horseback. It discusses Coventry's transformation from being a manufacturing center during the Middle Ages into a thriving industrial town in the 20th century. The city planning and traffic engineering as well as the design of Coventry's new cathedral and shopping precinct are described.
