Abstract

The article looks at the pros and cons of commercial unit and residential unit investments. Residential property has low rent returns and short tenancies, with leases often only six to twelve months. Income return from a commercial property is higher than residential property because it is more risky. Residential and commercial properties will likely experience long-term capital growth, with the only difference on property values.
