Abstract
- The article comments on the talk about male supremacy and misogyny in rock that was allegedly inspired by the women's movement in the U.S. in 1971. Key issues discussed include the naive sexism that disfigured American rock music during the late 1960s and the emergence of a more calculated and nearly ideological sexism in rock since that period.
