New Partnerships a Bargain for Industry, a Boon for Colleges and Universities.

In this article, the author assesses the partnerships entered by colleges and universities with industries in the U.S. in 1983. These partnerships focused on research and development leading to new products and technology. The author discusses the goals of this industry-university cooperation. Some factors which contributed to the success of this cooperation are indicated. Moreover, the author features a number of educational activities that involve industries.
