Economic policy.

The article presents information on the economic policy in Afghanistan as of October 2006. The fiscal expenditures of the country remains below target while government revenue in the first quarter was slightly above the target. The International Monetary Fund report suggested that the monetary policy in the country was relatively robust. Information is also given regarding the financial-sector policy of the government, including the plan to have only one state-owned bank.
