Abstract

The article discusses the first part of the educational development depicting the schools and the legislature in Massachusetts. It was noted that progress of the public schools by the state men during the last quarter of the century has been almost a revolution. A student would found the old school district system in its expiring gasp yet some adhering to old ways. Finally, the legislature has been more sympathetic with the educational advancement of the state and has engaged with its ability.
