Abstract
- The article discusses the ambivalance between exclusion and inclusion that marked the historical relationship of Turkey with Europe. Key issues examined include Turkey's national identity problems that are intertwined with its constant scrutiny by its European neighbors, as well as concerns relevant to Turkey's membership application to the European Union.
