Abstract

The article focuses on the treatment of uncomplicated genital chlamydial infection. Chlamydia is found to be the most frequently occurring sexually transmitted bacterial infection in young sexually active people. The treatment of the disease is dependent not only on the screening of infection but aslo on proper antibiotic treatment and sex counseling. The possibility of reinfection could be reduced by properly notifying the sexual partners.
