The article presents an in-depth analysis of a paper which was written by Stephanie Aaronson et al., which examined the recovery of the United States from a 2001 recession. The analysis was written by Gary Burtless. Burtless provides an overview of the activities which helped prompt the recovery from the recession and the changes in the rates of employment which came from it. Burtless uses his knowledge of economics and economic activity to determine whether Aaronson's paper provides accurate and reliable data and economic discussion.
