Abstract
- The article investigates whether and how political parties in Southern Europe changed between 1995 and 2005. Party changes have occurred in various countries in Southern Europe during the said period, including Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey. A chart showing the total number of members of the two main parties in each South European country is presented. The role played by incumbency on party change is also discussed.
