MEASURING AND STANDARDIZING HANDWRITING IN A SCHOOL SYSTEM.

The article offers information on a program developed for the city of Highland Park, Michigan, to measure and standardize handwriting. It elaborates on the method of testing, scoring of papers, tabulating data and selecting the specimens of handwriting. The experiment was conducted to provide a standard of measure for the writing work of several grades. Two handwriting scales available are valuable to the elementary school.
