Abstract

The article reports on the failure of universities and colleges in the U.S. to develop studies on Vietnam. According to John K. Fairbank, sinologist at the Harvard University, the country cannot even send 100 specialists in Vietnam to conduct studies. After three-and-a-half years, Fairbank finds little evidence of improvement. He added that the academic community of the country responded very slowly, creating scandal.
