Abstract
- The article reports on the results of a study showing that one in five male college students uses chewing tobacco in the United States. According to Elbert D. Glover, a health education professor at Pennsylvania State University who conducted the study, the nation could see an oral-cancer epidemic unless steps are taken to educate people about the dangers of smokeless tobacco. Glover also stated that most of the students perceived smokeless tobacco as a safer alternative to cigarettes.
