Faculty Recruiting Criticized As Chaotic 'Spoils System'.

The article presents a paper by Marvin Rintala of Boston College and John Dreijmanis at the annual meeting of the American Political Science Association in the U.S. which shows that labor market for political scientists had been virtually untouched by scholarly inquiry. It points out that recruitment of faculty is still on a highly personal basis.
