Abstract

The article reports that a cow from Independence, Oregon named Lady May produced 19,922 pounds of mill and 893 pounds of butterfat in a 305 days' test in December 1930. This is nearly a ton more Jersey milk than was ever produced by any cow previously. The previous record was by Saucy Meg of Iowa. Lady May gives distinction to her state in more than one way.
