Abstract

The article discusses how the lack of financial aid is the top concern for many state colleges and universities. Presidents of 215 public institutions point to a slow-down in state educational aid as the source of the problem. Drugs, conforming to affirmative action, developing new curricula, and a decrease in federal funding have also contributed to the current situation of many state institutions.
