Abstract

The article discusses a study to determine the amount of evidence-based therapy taught in accredited training programs in psychiatry, psychology, and social work and to observe whether the training was elective or required and presented as a didactic or clinical supervision. The study included a cross-sectional survey of a probability sample of all accredited training programs. Findings states that there is a considerable gap between research evidence for psychotherapy and clinical training.
