Scholars Fault Journals and College Libraries in Survey by Council of Learned Societies.

The article reports on survey results to be revealed by the American Council of Learned Societies which suggest that sizable majorities of scholars in seven broad disciplines think the peer-review system for deciding what gets published is biased. Forty percent say that the peer-review system for publishing in their discipline should be reformed. Nearly half rate the book collections in their institutions' libraries to be fair or poor in meeting their research needs.
