Abstract

The article focuses on some recent economic developments in various OECD countries. In the U.S. output growth has been strong while inflation outcomes have been favorable. Increase in house prices had negative impact on the household saving rate. In Japan domestic demand increased output growth in 2005. Exports are growing strongly in Germany. The economy of the country grew by 0.9 percent in 2005.
