The article presents a discussion of the summary of studies related to problems in reading which were published during the June 1927 to June 1928 in the U.S. Some of the studies were conducted to topics related to the administration of reading, technical problems in reading, methods of improving comprehension and technique of study. The difficulty of many pupils in reading and study and lack of standardized technique had increase the interest in diagnosis and remedial teaching.
