Abstract

The article presents a study to find the effect of comic reading on the development in junior high school childrens. The subjects for the study consisted of seventh grade children from two public junior high schools from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Three questionnaires, each marked as "Junior High Interest Questionnaire" were developed for the study. A question regarding the reading of comic books was placed between other questions regarding different activities and interests in an effort to abstain the feasibility opposition by the responding child.
