Abstract

The article examines evidence of short term surface changes gathered during the last ten years that point toward active tectonic processes on the moon, and takes into account possible relations with the seismic data from the four lunar seismographs placed on the moon. It discusses the probability of relatively gentle processes leading to mare formation, observations of short-live or transient changes in the appearance of small areas on the moon, observations of a volcano on the moon, and characteristics of the transients that have reappeared in the moonquake distribution.
