II. Technology and Society -- The Real Issues.

The article presents the paper on analyzing questions of social control and direction of the technological and scientific revolution which was discussed at the conference titled "The Control of Science for Civil Needs" at a Northwestern University Colloquium on April 12-13, 1971. The paper focuses on the leadership issues on technological innovations and scientific revolution. The author points out that the discussion of technology assessment needs to be broadened to consider the subject of control of technology.
