Abstract

The article shares an author's experience regarding the establishment of the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. This article examines what the experience means to the participants as they view it retrospectively. Every scientist dreams of a well-equipped laboratory in the country, ample funds and interesting research in the company of a few stimulating colleagues. The dream came true for those who joined the Los Alamos Laboratory in the months after April 1943. In retrospect, a few people generalize the impact of Los Alamos as an experience who changed their life because it changed the world.
