Abstract
- The article mentions the social, economic, and political aspects environmental management and introduces articles in this issue of "International Studies of Management and Organization." The concepts in management science and organizational theory have led to studies on ways to improve "eco-efficiency" and market opportunities for "green" business. Research mentioned includes Marcus 2000, Tom Gladwin (1993), Hoffman and Ventresca 2002, Castree and Braun 1998, Stenberg and Räisänen, Olsen, Raufflet, and Reverdy. The papers in this issue highlight the debate over how to define the environment in different situations and how to develop environmentally sound behavior.
