The article presents the text of the majority opinion in the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Geraldine G. Cannon versus The University of Chicago, as to right to file a private lawsuit under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. It includes that petitioner's acceptance of the truth of the allegations for the purpose of its decision, the Court of Appeals held that the petitioner has no right of action against respondents that may be asserted in federal court.
