Abstract

The article discusses the developments and applications of direct space broadcasting in the U.S. It is a kind of communication medium that utilizes relay satellites to connect one point on earth to another for sending messages. It has three basic types of communication satellites which include point-to-point relay, distribution, and broadcast satellites. Several operational problems must also be considered in establishing a space broadcasting system such as signal standards, language gap, and interference.
