Abstract
- The article presents a reprint of the article "Science Travels the Mao Road," by C. H. G. Oldham, which appeared in the August 22, 1968 issue of "The Listener." Oldham discusses the effect of the Cultural Revolution to the science and scientists of China. He suggested that the scientists should use the writings of Mao Tse-tung as a research tool, not as a guide to correct ideological thinking. He stressed that Mao's policy encourage self-reliance at all levels through innovation. INSET: Science and Mao's Thought.
