Abstract
- The article reports on the benefits that the European Bioplastics industry are getting inspite of the price increase of oil and oil-derived polymers. The prices of oil and oil-derived polymers does not vary between the two types of materials. The cost of oil and oil-derived polymers continues to block the manufacturers of biodegradable films. According to Richard Smith, the polylactide films is costly than the low density polyethylene.
