Abstract
- The article focuses on the views of the American people on issues concerning disarmanent. In a democratic governance, the selection of another party into power does not mean a corresponding change of its policies. However, it should reflect the desires of a large segment of the electorate. Consequently, in response to the demands of a large section of the public, there seems little doubt that a new administration should strive to expand its programs on disarmament and efforts directed towards reaching a test ban agreement.
