CIVIL DEFENSE.

The article reports on the distribution of scientific instruments and apparatus for radiological studies in high schools in the U.S. The Office of Civil and Defense Mobilization (OCDM) is distributing radiological instrument kits to 6,000 senior high schools throughout the country. According to OCDM, these instruments will be used in science classes and as training aids in civil defense. It is hoped that one million students will receive some instruction in radiological defense by the end of the school year 1958.
