Abstract

The article discusses the development of the domestic peaceful atomic energy program by Soviet bloc nations. The progress has depended on the countries' degree of economic and political stability and level of industrialization. The Soviet bloc nations depend on the technical assistance of Soviet Union which promised to assist in building power stations and other facilities. The recipient developing countries of the Soviet sharing involve Bulgaria, China, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland and Rumania.
