Abstract

The article offers information about the author's views of the responsibilities of a scientist after the explosions of the atomic age have poisoned their reputation. The author believes that there are definite possibilities that can be explored, ten years after the ethical and political responsibilities of the scientific mind, in the crisis that followed the explosions of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These have covered a path marked by great hopes as well as by bitter deceptions. Furthermore, offers the possibility of taking a more practical view of the problem, and to seek action perhaps more modest than what had once envisaged but also more effective.
