Abstract
- The article discusses the changes in the government under the administration of U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. According to the author, evidence on the government's intention of adopting measures to increase spending to keep the depression from getting any worse and to improve conditions in the country is obvious. According to the author, moves such as cutting of salaries, reduction of veterans' allowances, thousands of closed banks have been found necessary.
