Abstract

The article presents a discussion on the development of uranium mining and processing. It cites the article by professor Paul F. Kerr which reviewed the world situation in the development of uranium. It also cites the important uranium mineral such as pitchblende and carnotite. Uranium tends to be associated with certain other minerals such as cobalt, nickel, bismuth, silver, and gold. It also cites the uranium deposits in the Erz mountains which form the boundary between the Russian zone of Germany and Czechoslovakia.
