Abstract

The article focuses on the effects of the Russian atomic explosion of 1949 on the foreign policies of the U.S. that deal with the country's political and military strategies. It is expected that the hydrogen bombing in Russia and the defection of China has an impact on the military and political policies of the U.S. but it has been observed that the government have not dealt to either of these world-shaking events and changed their political and military implications. It was observed that the U.S. military strength in the international scene rely on the quantitative superiority in atomic weapons while its political strength depends on its implemented policies.
