Abstract

The article presents sewing tips sent in by readers. A reader has recommended the use of a lamp's incandescent lightbulb as a pressing device to press out wrinkles and creases. To obtain a better fit in sewn-on elastic waistbands, a reader has suggested to mark the elastic waistband in even quarters, then move the side marks toward the back by half an inch, and when applying the elastic, match the adjusted marks to the garment's side markings. Another reader has suggested GoJo Orange Hand Cleaner as a good cleaning agent for iron's metal soleplate.
