Scientists take a closer look at ELNs.

The article discusses the development of electronic lab notebook (ELN) used for recording experiments in majority of researches. The existence of ELN has been in available more than 10 years but the transition from paper to ELN was slow because of legal and technological issues. ELN is considered as the major enablers of information exchange and organizational memory. Meanwhile, Millennium Pharmaceuticals Inc. is using the ELN by connecting it to other applications the chemists use.
