Prevention of Child Abuse.

The article presents a study involving awareness for public health professionals and agencies to engage actions to prevent child abuse in the U.S. The study is designed to build support among these groups for the recommendations of the Surgeon General's workshop on violence and public health. The purpose of the study include increasing public awareness and efforts to prevent child abuse, improving the quality of health services to families, and developing data systems to monitor the incidence and prevalence of child abuse.
