Abstract

This paper introduces a new enhancement to the set-theoretic reconstructability analysis (RA) decomposition of logic functions called multiple-level modified reconstructability analysis (MRA). The new variation of MRA decomposition is achieved by implementing a map superposition method called Iterative Error Maps (IEM) as a pre-processor to the standard MRA. The introduced multiple-level MRA decomposition solves successfully for the decomposition of 3-variable NPN-classified Boolean functions in classes 2, 6, and 9 that were previously non-decomposable using the standard 2-level MRA decomposition. An extension to the case of many-valued multiple-level multiple-output MRA is also introduced. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
