Abstract
- The article offers news briefs on issues in Washington, D.C. The National Republican Congressional Committee is concerned the June 6 special election to fill an empty seat could ultimately result in a loss of GOP control over the House. The federal government plans to restrict access to the statistical information on how oil prices are set. The Senate Intelligence Committee is attempting to pass a bill which would require the president to be more forthcoming with details on the warrantless surveillence program and clandestine detention facilities.
