Abstract

The article reports developments pertaining to the educational plans of the governors in the U.S. George Deukmejian of California has declared an increase of 900 million dollars funds for public schools. John V. Evans of Idaho has proposed an education budget as part of their ongoing efforts to restore funds to various service programs that suffered cuts during the recession. John D. Rockefeller planned to increase the salaries of teachers and school service personnel and to modernize school buildings.
