Stability in frictional unilateral elasticity revisited: an application of the theory of semi-coercive variational inequalities.

In this paper we show how recent results concerning the stability of semi-coercive variational inequalities on reflexive Banach spaces, obtained by the authors in [3] can be applied to establish the existence of an elastic equilibrium to any small uniform perturbation of statical loads in frictional unilateral linear elasticity.
