The article reports on the uses of atomic energy in the medical field. Radioactive isotopes were discovered to be helpful in the treatment of certain diseases. There are two elements whose isotopes are studied and proven to be therapeutically useful. The two elements are iodine and phosphorus. These elements are useful in the treatment of non-cancerous medical disorder and a form of cancer.
