Abstract

The article offers a look at a headdress that is considered to be the most magnificent piece of Aztec featherwork that survives in 2006. Such headdress was probably a gift for Emperor Charles V, a ruler of Spain. It offers information on the headdress' long green feathers, which are tail feathers of a pigeon-sized bird native to southern Mexico and Central America.
