Abstract
- The article focuses on the success of motion picture producer Walden Media in the family film genre. Among the family films it produced include "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," "Holes" and "Because of Winn-Dixie." It was founded by Cary Granat and Michael Flaherty, and funded by billionaire businessman Philip Anschutz. In making an entry at the right time with the right genre and the right approach, Walden finds itself cultivating an eminently marketable brand name.
