CONSUMER PRICE INDEX: JANUARY 2006.

The article reports that the consumer price index for all urban consumers rose by 0.8% to 198.3 before seasonal adjustment in the U.S. in January 2006. The chained consumer price index for all urban consumers also rose by 0.7% to 115.2 in January 2006 on a not seasonally adjusted basis. The consumer price index for urban wage earners and clerical workers rose by 0.8% to 194 in January 2006 prior to seasonal adjustment.
