Abstract: The article focuses on the efforts by the organizers of the Premios de la Musica award in Spain to raise the profile of the music award. Despite Premios de la Musica having the field to itself in 2005, the televised event failed to capture the public's imagination and viewing figures were low. Now organizers of the award plan to broadcast the event live on public TV channel. Seasoned music executive Carlos Sanmartin was also hired as a consultant to help revamp the show.
