Abstract
- The article discusses the significance of vestibular apparatus to scientific experimentation. Its role is to respond to accelerations of the head. The vestibular apparatus have two kinds of receptors, namely, the otolith and the semicircular canals. These apparatus can be shared by vertebrate animals and man. Cesar Fernandez and Jay M. Goldberg of the University of Chicago, have investigated a second class of neurons in the vestibular system.
